A two Pronged Assault to my Sensibilities July 30, 2008

So I heard it through the grapevine that two of my favorite things would be combined, that is Bob Dylan’s music and the upcoming film based on Alan Moore’s Watchmen. Only Dylan’s music will be covered by My Chemical Romance and played during the closing credits. As a fan of the graphic novel I think I can safely say that the Watchmen finale deserves better. The Watchmen is about redefining the norm and I don’t think that a derivative emo band is the best way to represent that. In truth I don’t know what is a bigger offense, the fact that MCR is covering Dylan, or the fact that their music is to be included in a literary masterpiece? I do know, however, that I am extremely displeased.

Do these guys look like they could cover Dylan?
